Cambridgeshire County Council’s Place and Economy Directorate delivers services across areas such as transport, new infrastructure, roads, and the environment. It aims to manage and deliver the growth and development of sustainable communities, meet the challenges of climate change and enhance the natural environment.
The Road Safety team sits within the Transport Strategy and Network Management Service and is developing a centre of excellence within the Council across road safety disciplines. The Council has recently adopted a Vision Zero strategy aiming to eliminate road deaths and severe injuries by 2040 and is looking for people who share this ambitious vision to join the team leading on the Safe Road and Safe Road User aspects of this strategy. The service operates flexibly, with opportunities to work remotely as well as a central base in Huntingdon but the ability to travel to different locations across the county is essential.
We currently have a vacancy for a Road Safety Manager. This is a full time and permanent post. The closing date is midnight on Monday 29th August 2022 and interviews will be held virtually on Wednesday 7th September 2022.
