The CarKraft initiative, a safety workshop for drivers of all ages, has re-launched thanks to an injection of funding from Northamptonshire County Council and Northamptonshire Police.
The CarKraft driver improvement scheme was first launched in 2001 and initially targeted pre- and young drivers aged 15 – 24yrs. Since then more than 3,000 people have benefited from the scheme.
The new-look CarKraft has been expanded to include non-drivers aged 15-21 years, and licence holders of all ages from across the UK.

I would love to do a research project to find if those young drivers who take extra lessons (of any type) are safer or less safe.
To get the numbers required I thought 1 idea would be to cross reference competition licence holders below a certain age with police or insurance accident records.
A similar project could be done for this CarKraft initiative, though the numbers could be significantly lower, I suspect.
CarKraft is an encouraging initiative, WELL DONE!
