Survey explores how road safety data is collected and used

The RSGB Analysts Network has launched a new national survey to explore how road safety data is collected and used across Great Britain.

Following the release of the DfT’s Road Safety Strategic Framework, this survey aims to understand how organisations collect and use data for road safety.

The network invites participation from professionals across the public sector, including local authorities, police forces, fire and rescue services, and road safety partnerships.

By contributing, participants will help identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for capacity-building across the sector in the UK.

The survey will remain open until 9 February 2026. Findings will be published at the Joining the Dots Conference.

Now into its 11th year, Joining the Dots continues to provide support and guidance for the road safety profession, stakeholders and the wider community alike.

The 2026 conference returns to IET, Austin Court, Birmingham on 3 March.
