Road Safety Week 2026 will take place from 15–21 November, with this year’s campaign focusing on the theme ‘Safe People on the Move’.
Organised by Brake, the annual campaign will begin on Sunday 15 November, which coincides with the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims, and will continue until Saturday 21 November.
The 2026 theme highlights the safe road users pillar of the Safe System approach, encouraging everyone who walks, wheels, rides or drives to consider the role they play in preventing road death and serious injury. The campaign also reinforces the principle that those with the greatest potential to cause harm have the greatest responsibility to protect more vulnerable road users.
Throughout the week, Brake will provide a range of resources, activities and events designed to help organisations, schools, workplaces and communities promote safer road use. Planned activities include educational webinars, social media resources, opportunities to host local events and initiatives encouraging people to share personal experiences of road crashes to raise awareness of their impact.
Road Safety Week is recognised as the UK’s largest annual road safety campaign, bringing together charities, businesses, schools, emergency services, local authorities and community groups to support a shared programme of awareness and action.
Registration for Road Safety Week 2026 is now open, with participants able to sign up to receive campaign updates and resources ahead of the event. This year’s campaign is supported by sponsors Hastings Direct and Waymo.
