RideSafe BackSafe hailed the recently launched Geared & Go training programme a great success when it made its first appearance in Manchester recently.
42 young motorcycle and scooter riders from across Greater Manchester participated in the interactive seminar to learn about road safety, bike control, protective clothing and routes to licence.
The two half-day programmes were held at the Rock Radio station and also included discussions about crash investigations, the effect of drugs and a demonstration breathalyser test.
RideSafe BackSafe is calling for support from motorcycle dealerships across Manchester and the northwest under its new dealer engagement strategy. The aim is to work more closely with the motorcycle industry on a local level to promote road safety, skills training and protective clothing.

Another good idea, shame there is nothing happening round Lancashire way.
Nothing on their website at all.
I would love to get involved in something like this but it seems volunteers are not now the way to go…… unless you are used for marshalling [car parking]
There are people out there with considerable knowledge and experience who may be willing to assist in improving the riding skills of others.
