A new internet campaign which targets motorcyclists has been launched by Devon County Council.

Three short films, available on YouTube, have been produced as part of the Max Rider campaign to help riders develop and improve their skills through coaching and advice.

Rob Derges, Max Rider motorcycle trainer, said: “Motorcyclists are a particularly hard to reach group and we need to constantly find the most effective ways of engaging with them.

“These short films are humorous but informative and let riders know that Max Rider can help get the most out of their riding.”

Councillor Stuart Hughes, Devon County Council member for highways and transportation, added: “These viral videos have proven extremely successful in the past and this is an excellent way to raise the profile of Max Rider.

“The videos are good fun and as motorcyclists pass them on it helps spread a really worthwhile safety message about bikers keeping up their skills.”

An interesting and novel approach. Would be keen to hear how successful this is in generating interest in the rider training scheme.
