
With less than a month to go until the 2022 Road Safety GB National Analysts Conference, tickets remain available for the hybrid event.
Organised by Road Safety GB in partnership with Agilysis, the seventh edition of Joining the Dots will be held live at the prestigious RAC Clubhouse in Pall Mall, London, on Tuesday 1 March 2022.
However, for those unable attend in person, the conference will also be broadcast live online.
The agenda for the event explores ‘The Changing Face of Transport Data’ and features speakers from public, private, academic and NGO sectors.
In its opening session, titled ‘Understanding Changing Road Use’, speakers include Katherine Williamson from the DfT, Fred Wegman from SWOV (Netherlands), Margaret Winchcomb from PACTS and John Howard from CommonPlace.
Together they will look at the developing policy landscape as well as changes in mobility that are influencing road risk.
Session two is titled ‘Embrace New Sources of Data’ and brings together expertise in deriving insights from a range of emerging data sets that can add value on issues of safety and sustainability.
Rikesh Shah from TfL, Mark Bell from TRL, Dr Sam Chapman from the Floow, Dr Suzy Charman from the Road Safety Foundation and Matthew Tranter from DfT will all contribute.
Another of the day’s sessions is titled ‘Improving Our Data Through AI’ – and will explore the extent to which machine learning is changing the way to curate and analyse data.
Seema Yalamanchili and Sofia Bras Pinto from Imperial College, David Walker from RosPA and Dr Craig Smith from Agilysis will all provide insights from innovative projects that are changing the landscape.
