Anyone thinking of attending the National Road Safety Conference later this year should book their place as soon as possible.
The 2022 National Conference is being held in Harrogate on 9-10 November, and the number of delegates to date has exceeded expectation. The conference is co-sponsored by Westcotec & Jenoptik.
The conference is being held at The Majestic and Road Safety GB has secured total occupancy of the hotel – almost 200 rooms – on the night of 9 November.
However, with the majority of those rooms now allocated to delegates, anyone else thinking of attending is being advised to book their place now, rather than wait until closer to the time.
James Gibson, executive director of Road Safety GB, said: “We are delighted with the interest from road safety professionals – it seems the three-year Covid-enforced gap since the last conference in 2019 has created extra demand this year, which is great to see.
“We’ve secured an exceptional line up of speakers – more than 40 in total – for both the main conference and Fringe programme.
“We also have 15 organisations already signed up for the exhibition, so everything is set for a cracking event.”
In addition to the rooms at The Majestic, Road Safety GB has secured an allocation in the adjacent Premier Inn, so there is plenty of accommodation available – though naturally most people like to stay in the hotel where the conference is being held.
Because the conference is starting slightly earlier this year (11.00 on 9 November), delegates are being offered the opportunity to book a room for the night of 8 November as part of their package – and more than 60 have already done so.
The full conference residential fee – which includes accommodation and the conference dinner on 9 November – is £375 for Road Safety GB and Academy members, and £475 for non-members (both plus VAT).
Day delegate tickets start at £110 (single day) for members and £175 for non-members (both plus VAT).
