Road Safety Trust seeks applications for funding

07.18 | 7 October 2022 | |

Anyone thinking of applying for the Road Safety Trust’s latest round of grant funding has until later this month to submit their application.

The theme for the 2022 main grant is ‘Fitness to Drive’, which the Trust says is key to the Safe System approach.

Funding is available for research and development of ‘innovative and practical’ interventions in the following four areas: diabetes, dementia, sleep and fatigue, and illegal and prescription drug use.

Projects, including those that are research-based, should have a practical focus and develop evidence-led tools and interventions.

These could include (but are not limited to) self-assessment tools and support for drivers or riders, assessment and screening tools, or better guidance, training, education and support for health and other professionals.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday 19 October.

Last month, the Trust hosted a webinar, providing advice and guidance to prospective applicants. A recording of this can be accessed via its website.
