The Road Safety Trust is currently recruiting for its next chair of the Board of Trustees.

The Trust is an independent grant-giving trust supporting projects and research that make UK roads safer for all road users – pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders, mobility scooter users, car drivers, lorry and van drivers, and motorcyclists.

It supports a variety of road safety initiatives through grants, with funding available towards projects that meet its grant criteria.

The Trust is seeking an experienced chair with expertise in financial management, governance and risk, the public sector, communications, emergency services or road safety who can make a strong contribution to board and committee discussions.

The Trust is keen to hear from individuals of all backgrounds, especially those from underrepresented groups, who bring curiosity, integrity, and a commitment to thoughtful and effective decision-making.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 2 August 2026.
