Nominations are still being invited for the 2024 Road Safety GB Achievement Award, which recognises individuals who have contributed significantly to UK road safety over a substantial period of time.
The award will be presented to the winners on 6 November during the National Road Safety Conference at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel.
The Achievement Award was first presented in 2022. In 2023 the Achievement Awards were presented to Mark Cartwright, head of commercial vehicle incident prevention at National Highways and Heidi Duffy MBE, facilitator for the Shiny Side Up Partnership and the National Young Rider Forum – and traffic management officer for Nottinghamshire Police.
The Achievement Awards will be presented alongside the Road Safety GB Corporate Award, which will be selected by the RSGB board of directors.

Sam Merison, chair of Road Safety GB, said: “The Achievement Award provides Road Safety GB with an annual opportunity to recognise outstanding contributions to road safety.”
Nominations for the Achievement Award must be made by a third party, and supported by two other individuals.
The deadline for nominations is Monday 23 September 2024. Full details of how to nominate are outlined in the Awards’ nomination form.
