Academy seminar attracts nine questions

The second online seminar to be hosted on the Road Safety GB Academy website, which focused on the new Road Safety Practitioner Foundation Course, attracted nine questions from seven different participants.

The seminar was hosted by Ian Edwards, who has developed the Foundation course on behalf of the Academy, on Thursday 15 August, 12.30 – 1.30pm.

The Road Safety Practitioner Foundation Course provides participants with an overview of the knowledge and skills they need to effectively and safely deliver a road safety educational intervention. The course is ideal for people just entering the road safety profession or those taking on a road safety role as a secondary task.

Questions ranged from how the course relates to the MANCAT course to the key outcomes/benefits of the pilot courses and how much time people need to set aside to complete it.

Applications are also welcomed from practitioners working in the private and voluntary sector, subject to meeting the membership criteria. The annual cost of membership for these practitioners is £35.
