Tickets for the 2024 National Road Safety Conference are selling well and are now on general sale.
National Conference, Road Safety GB’s annual flagship event, is being held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel on 6-7 November 2024. The conference is being hosted by Road Safety GB Mercia region.
Jenoptik and Westcotec have both confirmed that they will continue to sponsor the event, and they are joined for the first time by new sponsor Transport for West Midlands (TfWM).
The booking process opened last week for Road Safety GB members, and almost 100 people have already booked their place to attend.

Nick Rawlings, who has been involved with every National Conference since it was launched in 2009, said: “Last year we had a record attendance by some distance, with almost 400 attendees, which was fantastic but led to some overcrowding at the conference and during refreshments.
“The Hilton Birmingham Metropole is a much larger, purpose-built conference hotel and as such we won’t have the same issues this time.
“It is also centrally located and served by excellent transport links – just off the M42 motorway, and adjacent to Birmingham International Railway Station and Airport.”
The conference committee has given an indication of the topics they are hoping to cover during the conference, and will issue a call for papers in the coming weeks.
As has been the case for the past few years, there will be a Main conference programme, a Fringe programme and a series of workshops, so there is plenty of scope to cover a significant number of topics and presentations – in 2023 there were 60 presentations across the two days.
There is also an option to book the evening prior to conference (5 November), either B&B or to include the networking supper which was successfully trialled at the 2023 event. All the prices and options are on the booking form.
