The Driving Standards Agency has announced record sales of the 2007 edition of The Official Highway Code.
One million copies sold in 15 months compared to the previous 2004 edition, which sold one million copies in 20 months. And the Bookseller Magazine has recorded the latest edition as the No1 best selling non-fiction paperback for 2008.
In January a national media campaign was launched to promote The Highway Code to all road users, including learner drivers and experienced motorists. A TV advert appeared across a broad range of channels including TV, online, shopping malls and retail outlets.
The Official Highway Code, published by TSO (The Stationery Office), is available in book, interactive CD-ROM and British Sign Language DVD formats and can be purchased from High Street or online bookstores, or direct from TSO at: www.tsoshop.co.uk/highwaycode.
