RideSafe BackSafe is launching a new initiative, ‘Geared & Go’ targeting 16-24 year old scooter and motorcycle riders across the north west.

The initiative offers a free half-day seminar of interactive learning. Groups of young riders will be encouraged to participate in discussions about contributory factors in road traffic collisions, crash investigation and the effects of drugs. A demonstration breathalyser test, case studies and routes to licence will also be presented to the groups.

Linda Sanderson, RideSafe BackSafe communications manager, said: “Geared & Go offers a great opportunity for young riders to become more skilful, more knowledgeable and better protected.

“Everyone who attends will receive a free ‘First Date’ DVD and a RideSafe BackSafe goodie bag. The first 40 to pre-register and arrive on the day will also receive a free pair of Kevlar-lined jeans.”

The ‘Geared & Go’ young rider day will be held in Lytham St Annes on 18 April.

WEll intentioned but poorly supported by riders. I know I was there.

Its no use just putting it out there without substance. needs work to get to the persons who would benifit.

Once again well intentioned but lacked support.
