eDriving Solutions has won a contract with a Finnish company to help develop e-based educational content for a product designed to improve driving skills and reduce the environmental impact of vehicle use.
Based in South Yorkshire and formed just three years ago, eDriving Solutions has quickly become one of the UK’s leaders in the development of e-learning resources for driver education. Although eDriving Solutions has undertaken consultancy work in Europe, this is the company’s first European e-learning contract.
eDriving Solutions role will be to help develop the e-coaching element of the Finnish project. While many of the features are being kept under wraps, the in-car tool provides simple and clear feedback to the driver, allowing them to develop and improve their driving skills, while also reducing their fuel costs and environmental impact.
Ian Edwards, director of eDriving Solutions, said: “We are thrilled that our unique approach to the development of e-learning has been recognised. Our philosophy to e-learning is that it should be much more than simply a book on line, it should be an interactive tool that follows the user’s own learning needs.”
Sakari Hopia, director of RingRoad International Ltd, one of the Finnish companies behind the project, said: “eDriving Solutions won this contract because of their understanding of driver related environmental issues and their ability to deliver key messages in a clear and highly interactive way. We are delighted that they will be working on this project with us.”
