Road Safety GB is delighted to announce that road safety and breakdown organisation GEM Motoring Assist has confirmed it will be a sponsor of the 2025 National Road Safety Conference.

National Road Safety Conference (NRSC) is Road Safety GB’s flagship event. It brings together leading organisations, practitioners and campaigners to share knowledge, best practice and innovative approaches to reducing deaths and serious injuries on the UK’s roads.

NRSC 2025 is being held at Wyboston Lakes Resort, located adjacent to the A1 between Cambridge and Milton Keynes, on 4-5 November. Alongside GEM, it is co-sponsored by National Highways, Jenoptik and Westcotec.

As well as proudly supporting the work of Road Safety GB, GEM will use the opportunity to raise awareness of the latest grant-funding opportunities from the GEM Road Safety Charity. GEM has a long-standing tradition of supporting initiatives that make a tangible difference to road safety.

James Luckhurst, GEM’s head of road safety, commented: “GEM is proud to support the 2025 National Road Safety Conference and to reaffirm its commitment to helping create a safer environment for all road users.

“We are pleased to see a significant rise in the number of applications made to the GEM Road Safety Charity in recent years. Earlier this year the Charity approved five applications worth a total of £33,500 from its most recent funding round.

“Road safety is everyone’s responsibility, and we want to play our part in funding vital research and campaigns where we can, as well as working with partners to ensure that effective interventions reach as many communities as possible.

“We look forward to another excellent conference, full of opportunities for making a difference in road safety.”

Recent charity grants were awarded to the Devon Air Ambulance, Gloucestershire Older Persons Association and the Queen Elizabeth Foundation, as well as to two FirstCar projects.

James Gibson, executive director of Road Safety GB, said: “We are absolutely delighted that GEM has become a sponsor of the 2025 National Road Safety Conference.

“The support provided by our sponsors is used to help with the costs of staging the conference, and to keep delegate fees as low as possible. We really value this support from GEM as well as the existing relationships we have in place. The conference is shaping up to be excellent again this year.”
