Irish drivers playing a ‘sick game’

Mayo County Council’s RSO is highlighting what he calls ‘the growing problem of drivers playing a deadly game of chicken’.

Noel Gibbons says that some drivers are driving straight at oncoming cars forcing them to move into the hard shoulder, and that other aggressive drivers are driving too close to the car in front to intimidate them to pull over or speed up.

Mr Gibbons said: "A small minority are using the road very irresponsibly and risking the safety of others. We need to make this behaviour sociably unacceptable.”
