Second edition of older drivers’ magazine on the horizon

FirstCar has announced that the second edition of Drive On, a road safety magazine for older drivers, will be published at the end of October.

The 2016 edition comprises 52 pages of information and advice for older drivers on topics including renewing their licence at 70, refresher driving courses, drink, drugs and medication, eyesight and visibility and the blue badge scheme.

Following the launch of the title last year, FirstCar says Drive On has been “very well received” by road safety teams who use the publication in a variety of ways.

FirstCar also says it has listened to feedback to make this edition “even more engaging” for the target audience.

Tom Langdown, FirstCar business and operations manager, said: “We are very pleased with the new edition of Drive On and are looking forward to supplying road safety teams with copies of the publication in the coming months.

“There is still the option of having copies delivered in attractively designed dispenser boxes. This not only encourages more people to take a copy but also helps overcome storage issues for road safety teams.

“For all orders placed before 7 October, when the magazine goes to print, we can bespoke the front covers with authority logos and add local inserts.

“We’re offering a discounted rate of 55p per copy for orders placed before the end of October. Prices will then revert back 65p, with further discounts for bulk orders.”
