The organisers have announced that Young Driver Focus 2017 will be held on Wednesday 26 April 2017 at the prestigious Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall, London.

Now in its fourth year, the one-day conference examines current and future thinking with regard to the challenge of reducing crashes and casualties caused by the high-risk young drivers. It is intended to benefit both private and public sector road safety professionals.

Young Driver Focus is jointly organised by Road Safety GB, FirstCar and the RAC Foundation and in 2017 will once again be sponsored by the young driver insurer, ingenie.

Young Driver Focus 2016 sold out weeks prior to the event and with a limit of 200 attendees the 2017 event is once again expected to be fully subscribed.

An attractive early bird rate of £100 plus VAT is available for the first 50 Road Safety GB and Academy members to register.

James Evans, founder of FirstCar, said: “We are delighted that Young Driver Focus has become an important annual event for road safety professionals across the UK and further afield.

“91% of last year’s attendees rated the conference content as ‘good or excellent’ and 87% gave the same rating in terms of value for money.

“We are committed to keeping the delegate fees as low as possible, particularly for those in the public sector, and are grateful to our headline sponsor ingenie and hosts The RAC Foundation. Their support for the event is a key reason why we can offer such competitive delegate fees.”

The conference team is currently looking at topics and themes and is aiming to publish an outline agenda by late October. Anyone interested in speaking at the event should contact Nick Rawlings by email or on 01379 650112.

The prestigious FirstCar Young Driver Road Safety Awards will be presented during the day. The 2017 awards are once again sponsored by Road Safety Support, a not-for-profit company focusing on road casualty reduction. Entry to the awards is free and submissions will be invited later this year.

There are a small number of sponsorship and exhibition opportunities available at Young Driver Focus – for details please contact Richard Storrs at FirstCar by email or on 07707 564422.
