The 2014 National Road Safety Conference is now fully subscribed, as is the exhibition that runs alongside the conference.

The conference is being hosted by Road Safety GB South East region and held in Brighton (25-26 Nov). The event is co-sponsored by Colas, AA DriveTech and the Sussex Safer Roads Partnership.

More than 270 people – the highest ever number – will attend the event and 23 organisations will be represented at the exhibition.

The conference will comprise 32 presentations and three discussion sessions across the main programme and fringe event. The agenda includes sessions focusing on cycling, partnership working, the use of social media in road safety communications and automated driving.

Su Ormes, chair of the 2014 conference committee, said: “We are delighted that a record number of people will attend the event this year.

“In putting the programme together we’ve tried to ensure as far as possible the content is based on innovative practical experience, and will provide ideas and inspiration that attendees will be able to deploy in their day-to-day work.”
