New name, same vision

The London Accident Prevention Council has changed its name to London Road Safety Council (LRSC).

The aim of LRSC is ‘to help make London’s roads safer’ by developing and providing high quality road safety information media and advice to road safety professionals.

Educational resources produced by LRSC are also made available to local road authorities from across the country.

Cllr Peter Herrington, chairman of LRSC, said: “The new name gives a truer reflection of the work undertaken by the council and removes the ambiguity of the word ‘accident’ that featured in the old title.”
