UK road safety organisations are being invited to participate in a seminar in Poland next month, which will look at best practice in the UK.
Poland’s road casualties are among the worst in the EU; implementing the EU Infrastructure Safety Directive 2008/96/EC on road safety management, and achieving a 50% reduction in road deaths, is a priority.
The ‘UK Best Practice in Road Safety Seminar’ has been organised by The British Embassy and will take place on 23 February in Warsaw. It will showcase UK policy, expertise and road safety solutions to local authorities and the private sector in Poland. Alan Kennedy, chair of Road Safety GB, is among the speakers.
The organisers are offering a limited number of places at a tabletop exhibition that will run alongside the seminar to enable companies to present their products and/or services.
The audience will comprise a high profile Polish audience including members of the National Council for Road Traffic Safety, advisory organisations, police, media and parliamentarians.
