The are still a few places available for road safety officers to attend the inaugural Safe Drive Stay Alive National Forum which is being held this Friday 10 July in Hertford.
The forum, which is being organised by FirstCar, is open to stakeholders involved in running road safety performances for young road users, including Safe Drive Stay Alive, Learn 2 Live and Licence to Kill.
Hertfordshire County Council has agreed to host the first forum with organisational support from FirstCar who will also co-chair the meeting with Surrey Fire & Rescue Service.
James Evans, founder of FirstCar, said: “The purpose of the forum is to establish a working group of like-minded road safety professionals who wish to share knowledge, experiences, evaluation and best practise around these programmes.
“The forum is purely to exchange knowledge and ideas for the benefit of all attendees; no-one is looking to establish a national standard or way of doing things that everyone should adhere to.
“This will simply be an interesting meeting where road safety professionals can share their experience and knowledge to ensure that they are fully optimising the effectiveness of their own road safety performances.”
