Question Time Line up complete

The final confirmed panelist for the Question Time session at the 2013 National Road Safety Conference is Tim Philpot, who will represent Road Safety GB and Wolverhampton Council.

The Question Time session will take place on day two of the conference, which is being held in Harrogate, 13-14 November.

The conference is being hosted by Road Safety GB Yorkshire & Humber Region and is sponsored by Colas, AA DriveTech and FirstCar. More than 200 people have registered to attend and 22 organisations will feature in the exhibition which runs alongside the conference.

A graduate of University College Swansea, Tim Philpot began his career in road safety in 1989. Working first for Birmingham City Council, he engaged with the local teacher training colleges to promote inclusion of road safety in schools through the new National Curriculum. 

Tim moved to Wolverhampton Council in 1994 where he has held responsibility for safer routes to schools, school travel planning and school crossing patrols, and is now section leader road safety. He has served as vice-chair of Road Safety GB and in leading roles for the Road Safety GB Mercia Region and West Midlands Road Safety Partnership.  

The other panelists are Chris Boardman MBE (British Cycling), Jim Kirkwood (AA DriveTech), deputy chief constable David Griffin (ACPO) and Catriona Henderson (DfT).

The Question Time session will be chaired by David Bowe, corporate director business & environmental services, North Yorkshire County Council.
