15.13 | 1 April 2010 |

RideSafe BackSafe has once again teamed up with the Institute of Advanced Motoring (IAM) to provide a series of inexpensive rider assessment days for motorcyclists in north west England.

The timetable will include classroom-style theory sessions, advice and on-road assessments by IAM assessors to help improve riding skills, hazard awareness, temperament and decision-making.

The days will be held at Lancashire Police Headquarters in Hutton, Lancashire on 17 April, 16 May, 12 June, 17 July, 14 August, 11 September and 9 October.

The 2009 price (£20) has been held and includes refreshments. Last year the courses were fully booked.

Footnote: the RideSafe BackSafe Initiative is run by bikers for bikers and includes the Lancashire Partnership for Road Safety, Drivesafe (Greater Manchester Casualty Reduction Partnership), Merseyside Road Safety Partnership, IAM, BMF, MAG, KillSpills and support from the Highways Agency.
