TRL and Road Safety GB have joined forces to offer a unique, not-for-profit training opportunity for road safety practitioners which will be held during UN Global Road Safety Week 2013.
The Second UN Global Road Safety Week (6 – 12 May) will raise awareness of the dangers faced by pedestrians; pedestrian deaths in the UK during 2011 rose by 12% compared with 2010.
The seminar, which will be held on 8 May at TRL’s headquarters at Wokingham in Berkshire – will highlight recent work and innovation with regard to pedestrian safety, and provide delegates with useful tools and practical advice. It has been accredited as a Phase 3 CPD event and all participants will receive an appropriate CPD certificate.
The event will be suitable for road safety officers, educationalists, researchers, fire and rescue officers, the police, and anyone engaged in bringing about reductions in road casualties.
The delegate fee for the seminar is £75 plus VAT which includes lunch and refreshments. This is a not-for-profit event and any surplus will be donated to the Global Road Safety Fund.
