National Conference 2023
National Conference 2023 looks set to break all records, with 307 attendees already confirmed. The conference is being held at the De Vere Cotswold Water Park Hotel on 15-16 November and is co-sponsored by Jenoptik, National Highways and Westcotec.
There are almost 60 confirmed presentations across the main and fringe programmes and 21 organisations have booked to participate in the exhibition which runs alongside the conference.
Richard Holden was elected MP for North West Durham in 2019 and appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the DfT in October 2022.
He served on the Public Accounts Committee from 2019-2021 and on the European Statutory Instruments Committee until his appointment at the DfT. He was a parliamentary private secretary to DCMS, then briefly at DfT and DIT.
As Parliamentary Under Secretary of State (Roads and Local Transport) Mr Holden’s responsibilities include: roads and motoring, including DVLA, DVSA, VCA, regions and devolution, local transport including buses, taxis, light rail, union connectivity, haulage, Future of Freight and London (including Crossrail and TfL).
James Gibson, executive director of Road Safety GB, said: “We’re naturally delighted that Mr Holden is taking time out of his busy schedule to be with us at National Conference later this year.
“With a record attendance virtually guaranteed, the minister’s presence is further confirmation of National Conference’s status as the premiere event for road safety professionals from across the UK and further afield.”
