IAM RoadSmart is staging its first ever riding skills day for female bikers only at Thruxton circuit, Hampshire, on 19 September. The event will focus on handling, skills development and getting the most from their riding.

Hertfordshire road safety day to take place on 4 September
The free Hertfordshire Road Safety Partnership Day 2016 takes place on Sunday 4 September and will this year include a crash car simulator, police and fire bikes, smoke house experience and an air ambulance landing.

Road Safety Wales warns of the dangers of fatigue 
Road Safety Wales has issued a warning over the dangers of fatigue, which is estimated to be a contributory factor in up to 20% of road collisions. Road Safety Wales says these types of crashes tend to be high speed impacts resulting in death or serious injury, because a driver who has fallen asleep cannot brake or swerve.

More than 10% of Brits admit to driving on wrong side of the road in Europe
13% of UK drivers have admitted to driving on the wrong side of the road when travelling across Europe, the results of a survey by RAC European Breakdown have found.
