Road safety professionals and emergency services personnel are being invited to attend the launch event for this year’s RoadPeace Challenge on 2 February.
RoadPeace is the national charity for road crash victims in the UK. It supports the people affected by road crashes with emotional and practical support and advocacy.
Each year it holds the RoadPeace Challenge, “to bring together all police forces, PCCs, the fire service, ambulance crews, NHS, doctors, nurses and other professionals who witness the daily devastation caused by road crashes in the UK, along with victims and bereaved families – making a united stand against road harm”.
RoadPeace says this will send out a strong message to the public that road crashes can no longer be tolerated as inevitable and that the emergency services are committed to reducing road deaths and injuries, together.
This year’s event takes place between 15-21 May.
It will be officially launched at a free-to-attend webinar on Thursday 2 February. Taking place on Microsoft Teams, the webinar gets underway at 11am and is scheduled to last for one hour.
