RoSPA and DfT develop road safety evaluation toolkit

09.48 | 2 March 2010 |

The DfT and RoSPA are developing a toolkit to help road safety practitioners evaluate activities in order to demonstrate their effectiveness and value for money.

The partners are trialling the toolkit until 9 April, and are keen for as many people as possible to participate at: www.rospa.com/roadsafety/surveys/etptoolkit2/.

The toolkit will ask a series of questions and present options on how to evaluate a project.

The options will be ranked to help the user choose a proportionate and feasible evaluation option. Having chosen an option, the user will be presented with an evaluation template form. Once all data has been entered and the evaluation completed, a final report will be produced.

The toolkit will be part of a wider website, www.roadsafetyevaluation.com, and RoSPA will hold a series of workshops on evaluation and the toolkit between October and December 2010.

For more information contact Lindsey Simkins at RoSPA.
