His Royal Highness The Duke of Kent has officially opened Safeside, an interactive safety centre located at the West Midlands Fire Service’s new headquarters.

Safeside is a state-of-the-art interactive learning and community safety village where children and adults can learn about many aspects of community safety including road, in car, and travelling safely. Safeside is also available as a meeting venue.

Councillor Howard said: “We are incredibly proud of Safeside, a fantastic new facility that allows us to cover a wide range of safety messages in an exciting and memorable way.”
