Road Safety GB Academy is inviting road safety and enforcement professionals to participate in a free pilot of a new course next month.
The course, Introduction to Speed Enforcement and Associated Signage, has been developed by the Academy in partnership with Road Safety Support.
It is aimed at road safety and/or enforcement practitioners who are new to speed enforcement planning, or who wish to further enhance their understanding of this subject.
At the end of the course a learner will be able to demonstrate that they understand:
- Where speed limits originated
- The legislation governing speed enforcement
- The different technologies employed in speed enforcement
- The signage requirements in relation to statutory speed limits
The Academy is offering 12 complimentary places on a pilot course to be delivered via Zoom on Wednesday 23 June, commencing at 9.00am.
The course, delivered by experienced tutors from Road Safety Support, will comprise two sessions of two-and-a-half hours each. It includes activities to be completed by participants and will conclude with an hour-long assignment.
Learners who successfully complete the assignment – showing they have met the learning objectives – will gain a certificate which will evidence and demonstrate their continued professional development.
To secure a free place on the pilot course, please contact Academy administrator Sally Bartrum via email or on 01379 650112.
*Please note, as the Academy is offering a complimentary place, it reserves the right to charge the non-member rate of £139 should an individual book and fail to attend.
