The RSGB Academy is inviting road safety and related professionals to discover its latest learning opportunities and find out more about a new pathway towards formal professional recognition.

A special RSGB Academy webinar will take place from 10.00am to 10.45am on Monday 21 September, providing an overview of the Academy’s latest developments, including a new range of courses and an Accreditation Framework designed to provide a clear learning route towards two new professional awards.

The new awards, which launch formally on 1 October, are:

  • RSGB Certificate in Delivery of Safe, Sustainable and Healthy Travel
  • RSGB Diploma in Delivery and Management of Safe, Sustainable and Healthy Travel

The new framework is designed to support professionals working across a wide range of disciplines, including road safety, active travel, transport, behaviour change, education, public health and related areas.

The Academy provides opportunities to develop knowledge, strengthen professional practice and gain formal recognition for skills and experience.

During the webinar, delegates will be introduced to the learning and qualification opportunities available through the Academy and will learn more about how the new Accreditation Framework provides a structured route towards the two awards.

The session will also explain how candidates can work towards the awards through the new training opportunities, as well as how previously completed RSGB Academy courses may count as prior learning, allowing participants to build on their existing training and experience.

The webinar will be delivered by Ian Edwards, lead Academy trainer, and will conclude with a Q&A session, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions about the new awards, courses and accreditation process.

The session is aimed at anyone looking to develop their professional knowledge and skills in safe, sustainable and healthy travel, whether they are already working in the sector or looking to broaden their expertise.

A recording of the session will be made available for those unable to attend.
