Road Safety GB has announced two webinars will take place for its members in December – with registration now open for both.
Both webinars will take place on Zoom, lasting 45 minutes. This comprises 20 minutes for a presentation; and similar time for questions.
The first webinar, which gets underway at 2pm on Tuesday 10 December, will be facilitated by Margaret Winchcomb (PACTS) and Josh Grantham (Camcycle).
CamCycle has been working in the city of Cambridge for nearly 30 years to deliver more, better and, most importantly, safer cycling.
This presentation will look at how their work has played no small part in the city, once again, being given the accolade of the UK’s leading city region for walking and cycling.
It will consider this work in the context of the Safe System, the best practice approach to road safety, outlining how the system depends on all the segments of the circle working together.
Building on their presentation at the 2024 National Road Safety Conference, the webinar provides attendees the opportunity to question Josh and Margaret on this work.

The second webinar takes place from 2-2:45pm on Monday 16 December. It will be delivered by Annabelle Priest, road safety lead, Devon and Somerset Fire Rescue Service.
Annabelle will introduce the Young Road User Education Toolkit, created by the National Fire Chiefs’ Council (NFCC), which will soon be hosted on Staywise and available for free to blue light users and road safety practitioners.
The toolkit is a collection of road safety education interventions designed by organisations around the country aimed at 16-24 year olds.
Interventions in the toolkit are carefully assessed by an expert panel to ensure that what is contained within the toolkit represents best practice, is created using evidence led design and is academically evaluated.
The toolkit makes available these resources free of charge and offers a variety of interventions to suit differing organisations’ resources and needs.

Registration is free for employees of Road Safety GB member organisations and RSGB Academy members only.
If you are unsure about your membership status, please register at the above link and Road Safety GB will cross check its membership database before confirming your place.
