Alan Kennedy, Road Safety GB’s executive director, recently participated in a webinar – explaining how the organisation could benefit approved driving instructors.
The webinar, which can be viewed on the video hosting platform Vimeo, was hosted by the Approved Driving Instructors National Joint Council (ADINJC) and the driver training organisation Smart Driving.
During the webinar, Alan Kennedy explains how Road Safety GB, the Academy and Road Safety GB International operate – before turning his attention to how the Academy could help approved driving instructors (ADIs).
Central to this is the two-day Behavioural Change course – which has been described by NDORS (National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme) as an “ideal course for ADIs who wish to deliver training courses”.
Alan explained how organisations are invited and encouraged to host courses regionally across the UK – and how the Academy supports them in doing so.
He said: “Our ethos is we want to get as many people through training as possible at the best price that we can do. It’s about getting bottoms on seats – getting people trained and qualified.”
Later in the webinar, Alan outlines the range of conferences organised by Road Safety GB – including the 2019 National Road Safety Conference, which takes place in Telford on 12-13 November.
