Second phase of ‘Standing Together’ webinars launched

A second series of free online webinars, organised to offer support and encouragement to road safety professionals during the coronavirus pandemic, has been launched.

Organised by Agilysis, the Standing Together series explores key and emerging themes in road safety, providing opportunity for both development and discussion.

The first series of webinars took place earlier this month, separated into three strands: ‘strategy and leadership’, ‘technical and analytical’ and ‘design and delivery’.

Following its success, Agilysis has unveiled a new timetable of webinars, looking to increase interactivity by working with others within the road safety industry.

Among the highlights is a ‘Coronavirus Transport Impacts’ webinar on 27 April, involving David Davies (PACTS), Elizabeth Box (RAC Foundation) and Neale Kinnear (TRL).

Other subjects that are being covered include: behaviour change theory and practise, safe system principles, route analysis and evaluation principles.

Registration for each webinar, which take place on Zoom, is free – although each session is limited to 100 applicants. Webinar materials including recordings are posted within 24 hours on the Agilysis website and they remain there for seven days.

Agilysis says where events are significantly over-booked, it will look to repeat them again in the future.
