A call for papers has been issued ahead of this year’s London Walking and Cycling Conference, which takes place in September.
Organised by Hackney Council and the City of London Corporation, the event will explore ‘new and innovative ideas for sustainable active travel’, while also ‘addressing some of the key challenges towards generating a fair and inclusive transport system’.
The 2024 edition takes place on Thursday 19 September.
With the agenda under development, organisers are keen to hear from potential speakers.
One of key themes for this year’s event is how the work required to increase walking and cycling rates is done amidst a challenging backdrop of resistance and tough financial footing.
