With under a month to go, delegate registration remains open for Road Safety GB’s upcoming Mature Drivers’ Conference.

The conference – hosted by Road Safety GB and supported by GEM Motoring Assist, The Road Safety Trust & Waymo – is being held at Austin Court in Birmingham on 28 April 2026.

It will bring together road safety professionals and others committed to supporting mature drivers to maintain their independence while at the same time enhancing their safety.

A strong attendance is anticipated, with more than 100 people already registered to attend. A reminder that a discounted rate is available to Road Safety GB members.

The agenda is complete, and will feature a keynote presentation from Lilian Greenwood, minister for local transport.

In her time at the DfT, Ms Greenwood has been involved in the development of the Road Safety Strategy, published in January 2026, which is expected to be the focus of the presentation.

A second keynote will be delivered by Professor Charles Musselwhite, Aberystwyth University, who will discuss the ‘five patterns of adjustment in older adults who stop driving’.

The full agenda comprises 16 presentations and two panel discussion sessions. Click here to view the agenda at a glance, and here for more information about the speakers and presentations.
