Partnership launches enhanced rider scheme

15.02 | 9 April 2009 |

April sees the launch of an enhanced rider scheme by the Quality Yorkshire Riders partnership, headed by Leeds City Council.

The scheme is backed by the DSA and offers riders who complete it an insurance discount, goody-bag and certificate.

The enhanced rider scheme has a network of DSA approved trainers across the county who will be utilised to deliver the course if demand is high enough, although the initial sessions are based around Leeds and Bradford.

The Highways Agency has part funded the scheme to offer a number of subsidised places to riders.
