Charity calendar in memory of popular RSO

11.08 | 23 October 2009 |

Former colleagues of road safety officer Chris Pickett, who died in 2007, have come up with a fitting tribute.

Chris spent the majority of her working life as a RSO in the south east of England. Her enthusiasm for her job was contagious and a number of people working in road safety today benefited from her knowledge and experience. Sadly, she died of cancer in December 2007.

The Thames Valley Safer Roads Partnership road safety group wanted to commemorate Chris’ work and came up with the idea of a 2010 charity calendar.

The calendar delivers vital road safety messages using images and strap lines that reflect Chris’ bubbly character.

The calendars are being sold for £4 with proceeds going to various cancer charities in the Thames Valley area.
