The Safer Roads partnership is publishing a series of ‘infographics’ providing advice to help drivers stay safe over the winter months.
Safer Roads works in partnership with six road safety teams at Bracknell Forest, Reading, Slough, West Berkshire, Windsor & Maidenhead and Wokingham.
Safer Roads focuses on delivering campaigns that target motoring related risks, thereby freeing local road safety teams to concentrate on other educational initiatives, particularly in schools.
The winter driving infographics will be released on the Safer Roads’ website on four consecutive Thursdays, commencing 9 January.
The Safer Roads website says: “Of all the seasons, winter is the one which requires drivers take the most care and preparation when taking to the roads.
“To ensure that you are as prepared as you can be, to see you safely through until spring, Safer Roads has prepared a series of mini infographics offering helpful advice. They all fit nicely together to form part of a bigger picture.”
The first infographic covers tyre safety and includes advice on checking tyre pressure, tread and overall tyre condition.
