23 road safety teams have signed up to participate in a new campaign that challenges young people to make a viral film to convey a road safety message to their peers.

‘In the can’ is the brainchild of Suffolk’s road safety team, who have joined forces with Stennik, the specialist road safety publicity consultancy, to develop the idea.

The competition will be open to individuals/teams of young people and educational establishments. Competitors will be given guidance and advice to help them develop their ideas into a viral film.

The competition will commence on 1 September and run until April 2010, when the winners to be selected via a public online vote.
