All roads lead to Warwickshire

09.27 | 16 November 2010 |

225 people will descend on a hotel in Warwickshire for what is possibly the largest-ever gathering of the UK’s road safety profession.

The 2010 national Road Safety GB Conference and Exhibition gets underway at lunchtime today at Chesford Grange in Warwickshire. The event is sponsored by RSS in association with Colas and Enterprise.

Unfortunately Mike Penning, road safety minister, who was scheduled to deliver a keynote presentation today, has had to cancel at short notice.

However, delegates will be delighted to know that Robert Gifford, executive director of PACTS, has kindly agreed to present. PACTS and RAC Foundation recently published a report entitled ‘Tackling the deficit: at what cost to road safety?’, and Robert will discuss this issue in his presentation.

We will carry regular reports throughout the two-day event.
