Suffolk County Council has released a video showcasing the ‘amazing’ work carried out by its Junior Road Safety Officers during the last year.

The JRSO scheme, which has been running for more than 20 years, aims to empower pupils to share road safety messages among their classmates.

Suffolk County Council has published a new video, highlighting how its JRSOs have been working to improve road safety – such as creating noticeboards, handing out hi-vis jackets and helping out with speedwatch initiatives.

Holly Jacobs, road safety officer at Suffolk County Council, said: “Every year, we support primary schools across the county in the JRSO scheme.

“Suffolk primary schools have been working hard throughout 2022-2023, to share road safety messages within their school and community.

“This video is a celebration of their work, with the aim of inspiring others who may be interested in the scheme.”
