Bedfordshire partnership extends seatbelt campaign

10.05 | 4 January 2010 |

The Bedfordshire and Luton Casualty Reduction Partnership is once again using its ‘Flowers by the Roadside’ campaign to highlight the dangers of not wearing a seatbelt.

Over the past two months a series of posters and bunches of flowers have alerted drivers to the dangers on the road. Progressively the signs deliver the messages, ‘Have You got the message yet?’ and ‘Not only flowers die at the roadside’.

A final poster, coupled with fresh flowers, asks ‘If Only’. The poster shows a car with a broken windscreen, with a real seatbelt attached which moves in the breeze created when vehicles pass.
