Big Cheese marquee proves popular

10.19 | 7 August 2009 |

More than 1,200 people visited Caerphilly road safety team’s marquee at the 2009 Big Cheese festival – to paint road safety pictures, make badges carrying road safety messages and enter a competition for children to find safety faults with a bike.

Cllr Rob Gough said: “The road safety marquee gave people the opportunity to learn some very important road safety messages.”

Competition winner, Ryan Davies, who was thrilled with his prize of a mountain bike, said: “I’ve never won anything before and have been wanting to buy a bike for ages so this was a lovely surprise!”
