Bikeability bursary scheme re-launched

The re-launched Bikeability Bursary Scheme provides a £300 bursary to cover half the cost of instructor training.

The revamped scheme enables trainees to apply online, and everything is managed by the training providers.

Paul Robison, Bikeability manager, said: “Instructors have a key role to play in delivering our vision for half a million children across England to take part in Bikeability by 2012.

“We encourage anyone thinking of becoming a cycle instructor to apply for this substantial contribution towards the training. Bikeability is at the heart of our mission to give children the skills and confidence they need to ride safely.”
