Brake publishes in-vehicle safety guidance for fleet managers

Brake, the road safety charity, has published guidance on how fleet managers can use in-vehicle technology to help improve driver safety.

This best practice report is produced as part of Brake’s campaign to help organisations save lives, money and the environment by improving fleet safety.

The guidance includes expert advice delivered at a recent Brake seminar. It provides insight into key technological developments, discusses the effectiveness of various technologies, and presents a case study of one fleet operator that has seen dramatic improvements to driver behaviour and ultimately fleet operating costs.

Roz Cumming, professional engagement manager at Brake, says: “In-vehicle technology can greatly increase driver safety when used effectively, but requires careful evaluation and management. This report gives practical guidance on what to consider when selecting and implementing technological solutions for your fleet.”

The report is available for free to Fleet Safety Forum subscribers, or can be purchased for £5 by non-subscribers. The first 25 non-subscribers to request the report will get a copy for free.
