A road safety themed calendar, designed by local primary school pupils, has been launched in County Antrim in Northern Ireland (Antrim Times).

The calendar features Patch, the road safety pooch, who encourages children from the Borough to stay safe on the roads. It is being distributed to all primary schools across County Antrim for display in classrooms, in a bid to provide pupils with the opportunity to learn about road safety issues throughout the year.

Councillor Brian Graham, chairman of Antrim & District Road Safety Committee, said: “There were many excellent entries for the competition and my congratulations go out to the lucky 12 selected to have their artwork featured.”

The calendar competition is a partnership initiative managed by Antrim & District Road Safety Committee with support from Police Service Northern Ireland (PSNI) and Antrim Policing and Community Safety Partnership.
